Three Healthy Eating Misconceptions

No worries, we all make mistakes sometimes.

Perhaps the most difficult thing about eating healthy is understanding what that means exactly. The world of nutrition can be a pretty complex place when you get down to it. So, we welcome anytime someone can figure out some straight-forward guidance.

Our fellow city magazine Boston recently featured some advice about how to avoid some common healthy eating pitfalls.

Not all calories are created equal. Don’t count calories. Instead, dig a little deeper into what’s exactly in your food.

Salads aren’t your savior. Nothing wrong with a big bowl of greens. But start adding cheese, dressings, fruit … then it’s a whole other story.

Forget the word "diet." Don’t think of it as going on a diet. Think of it as a lifestyle change.
